【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군이 23일까지 저소득 장애인의 자립과 일상생활 편의 증진을 위해 ‘장애인 보조기기 교부사업’ 집중신청 기간을 운영한다.

이번 사업은 보건복지부와 연계해 장애인의 신체적·정신적 기능 향상과 사회참여 확대를 목표로 국민기초생활보장 수급자 및 차상위계층 장애인에게 44종 보조기기 품목을 지원하는 프로그램이다.

지원 대상은 「장애인복지법」에 따라 등록된 지체, 뇌병변, 시각, 청각, 심장, 호흡, 언어, 자폐성, 지적 장애인 중 국민기초생활보장 수급자 및 차상위계층에 해당하는 군민이다. 지원 품목에는 보행차, 식사보조기구, 목욕의자, 독서확대기, 문자판독기 등 일상생활에 꼭 필요한 다양한 보조기기다.

신청을 희망하는 대상자는 주소지 관할 읍·면 행정복지센터를 방문해 신청할 수 있다. 자세한 상담이나 맞춤형 기기 안내가 필요한 경우 충청북도보조기기센터로 문의하면 된다.

한편, 옥천군은 장애인보조기기 교부 사업 외에도 장애인복지관 등 다양한 복지 인프라를 통해 장애인의 자립과 사회참여를 적극 지원하고 있다.
