【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주시는 미국 보호무역 강화 및 고율 관세 부과에 대응하기 위해 지역 중소 수출기업을 대상으로 무역보험료 지원사업을 추진한다고 2일 밝혔다.

수출액 감소, 가격 경쟁력 약화, 수출대금 회수 지연 등 위기에 직면한 대미(對美) 중소기업들의 부담을 줄이기 위한 조치로, 시는 무역보험 가입 시 보험료 일부를 보조할 계획이다. 

지원대상 기업은 청주시 소재 수출액 500만 달러 이하 중소기업 중 관세 정책 실시 이후 대미 수출 물량 급감, 수출계약 취소 등의 피해를 입은 기업이다.

가입 가능한 보험상품은 △수출대금 회수 불능에 대비한 단기수출보험 △환율 급변에 따른 손실을 보장하는 환변동보험 △수출 거래 신용을 보완하는 수출신용보증 등이 있다. 

지원금액은 보험상품 종류 및 기업 신용등급 등에 따라 다르다. 신청 절차 및 지원금액 등에 대한 문의는 시 기업지원과, 한국무역보험공사로 전화하면 된다.

시 관계자는 “현재 반도체 일부 품목에 10%, 자동차‧철강‧알루미늄 등에 대해서는 25%의 관세가 부과되고 있어 기업들의 수출 경쟁력 저하 및 경영상 어려움이 예상된다”며 “무역보험료 지원이 지역 수출기업의 부담 완화에 도움이 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

The companies eligible for support are SMEs located in Cheongju City with an export volume of less than $5 million that have suffered damages such as a sharp decrease in export volume to the US or cancellation of export contracts since the implementation of the tariff policy.

The insurance products available for subscription include: △short-term export insurance to prepare for the inability to collect export proceeds; △exchange rate fluctuation insurance to guarantee losses due to sudden changes in the exchange rate; and △export credit guarantees to supplement export transaction credit.
