【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청(교육감 윤건영)은 5월 1일, 도단위 최고 수준의 무상급식 실현을 위하여 2025년 1회 추경에 약 44억 원 예산을 확보했다고 밝혔다.

무상급식비 중 식품비는 충북교육청이 40%, 충북도(시군포함) 60%를 공동으로 지원하고 있으며, 2023년부터 충북교육청-충북도 합의에 따라 도단위 급별 최고 식품비 단가를 지원해 오고 있다. 

이번 추경 예산을 확보하여 올해에도 충북은 도 단위 급별 최고단가를 유지할 수 있었다.

충북교육청은 지난해 대비 학교 급식 식품비를 물가인상률 고려한 7.2%인상하였으며 도 단위 급별 최고 단가 반영을 위하여 평균 2.6% 추가 인상하여 초등학교 3,489원(본예산 대비 153원 인상), 중학교 4,254원(본예산 대비 81원 인상), 충북교육청과 충북도는 아이들의 건강한 성장과 발전을 위해 2026년까지 충북 도내 농산물 및 안전한 식재료 사용으로 질 높은 급식을 제공하고자 하고 있으며, 고물가시대에 어려운 재정 여건 속에서도 학생들에게 가장 큰 혜택을 제공하고자 하는 두 기관의 의지이다.

충북교육청은 양질의 급식 제공과 더불어 학생들이 건강하고 올바른 식습관을 형성할 수 있도록 영양상담 및 영양‧식생활교육 활성화에도 힘을 쏟고 있다.

충북교육청 관계자는 “질 높은 급식 제공은 물론 학생들이 바른 성장을 할 수 있도록 급식관계자의 역량 강화 뿐만 아니라 수요자의 만족도가 높아질 수 있도록 학교 현장을 적극 지원하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

한편, 충북교육청은 앞으로도 최고 급식비 지원, 급식실 환경개선, 영양관리 강화, 식재료 안전성 검사 등 안전한 충북급식을 위하여 지속적으로 지원해 나갈 예정이다.
