【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 괴산군(군수 송인헌)은 산림청이 주관하는 ‘2025년 산촌활력 특화사업’ 신규 대상지로 장연면 추점리 일대가 최종 선정됐다고 15일 밝혔다.

산촌활력 특화사업은 총 사업비 5억 6천만 원을 투입해 산림청이 산촌지역을 대상으로 맞춤형 지역발전 모델을 발굴 및 컨설팅을 지원하는 공모사업이다.

각 지역의 산림자원을 활용한 지속 가능한 발전 전략을 마련하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다.

이번 선정으로 괴산군 장연면은 특화사업 발굴을 위한 컨설팅을 지원받는다.

사업 추진 과정에서 우수 대상지로 평가되면 내년에는 2천만 원의 추가 지원금도 받을 수 있다.

군은 올해 ‘숲푸드 스쿨’이라는 특화모델을 중심으로 복합형 산촌 비즈니스 모델을 개발한다는 계획이다.

숲푸드 스쿨은 산림휴양과 관광, 임산물 활용 교육을 통합한 복합형 프로젝트다.

장연면 추점리는 박달산 자연휴양림, 산촌활성화센터, 임산물 체험장 등 이미 다양한 산림 인프라를 보유하고 있어 

군은 이러한 자원을 최대한 활용해 관광과 교육, 체험을 연계한 종합형 비즈니스 모델을 마련할 계획이다.

송인헌 군수는 “이번 산촌활력 특화사업 선정은 침체된 산촌에 생기를 불어넣을 결정적 계기”라며 “군민들과 함께 지속 가능한 지역경제 모델을 만들어 괴산을 대한민국 대표 산촌경제의 모범사례로 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.
