【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 초평면 농가 주부 모임(회장 이화순)은 깨끗한 초평면을 만들기 위해 환경정화 활동을 했다고 15일 밝혔다.

  이날 봉사에는 초평면 농가 주부 모임 30여 명이 참석했으며, 아침 일찍부터 석탄사거리 중심으로 담배꽁초, 페트병, 비닐봉지 등 도로변에 버려진 쓰레기를 집중적으로 수거했다. 

  이화순 회장은 “평소 무심코 지나쳤던 곳에 쌓여 있던 쓰레기를 정리하니 기분까지 상쾌하다”며 “운전자와 보행자 모두에게 깨끗한 환경을 제공하기 위해 지속적으로 환경정화 활동을 하겠다”고 말했다.

  한편, 초평면 농가 주부 모임은 초평면 농촌지역의 주부들이 중심이 돼 활동하는 단체로, 매년 환경정화 활동을 할 뿐만 아니라 관내 각종 행사와 봉사활동에도 참여하고 있다.
