【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=제천시는 지난 15일 제천시청에서 건강보조식품 제조기업인 농업회사법인 ㈜옻가네(대표 지용우)와 제천 제1산업단지 공장 신설 투자협약을 체결했다.

  이날 협약식은 김창규 제천시장, 박영기 제천시의회 의장, ㈜옻가네 지용우 대표이사 등 대내·외 관계자가 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

  ㈜옻가네는 자연원료 및 농산물을 활용한 건강보조식품 제조기업으로 이번 투자협약을 통해, 제1산업단지 내 13,433㎡ 규모 부지에 식품 제조공장을 다음 달 착공하여 오는 11월 준공을 목표로 2028년까지 총 515억 원을 투자할 계획이다.

 향후 제조공장 운영인력 최대 120여 명을 직접 고용할 예정으로 지역 내 고용증대 효과뿐만 아니라, 농산물 가공을 위한 지역 농산물 수매 등 지역경제 활성화에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대하고 있다. 

 지용우 대표이사는“제천시의 원활한 물류 교통망과 풍부한 한방 천연물 원료의 수급 그리고 제천시의 적극적인 행정 지원 등을 고려하여 추가 투자를 결정하게 되었다”며, “일자리 창출 및 기업이익 환원 등 지역경제 활성화에 기여하고, 제천시와 동반 성장할 수 있는 기업이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
