예심은 지난 10일 충주시 노인복지관 동부분관에서 열렸으며 충주시 25개 읍면동에서 참여한 65세 이상 60명의 노인이 열띤 경연을 펼쳤다..

실버가요제 본선은 오는 5월 7일 오후 1시 충주문화회관에서 초대가수 김경민, 채윤 등 인기가수의 축하공연과 함께 열띤 노인들의 노래 경연이 펼쳐지며 흥겨운 한마당 찬지로 진행될 예정이다.

대상에게는 상금 100만 원과 충청북도 실버가요제 충주시 대표로 출전할 수 있는 자격이 주어진다.
