이날 청년회 회원 20여 명은 단양읍 달맞이길 구간 중 고수동굴 제3주차장에서 노동리 입구까지 약 2km에 걸쳐 쓰레기를 수거하며 구슬땀을 흘렸다. 

이번 캠페인은 지역 청년들의 네트워크를 강화하고 공동체 의식을 높이기 위한 사회공헌 활동의 일환으로 마련됐다.

장성환 단양읍청년회장은 “본격적인 관광철을 앞두고 단양읍의 청결을 위해 직접 실천할 수 있어 뜻깊다”며 “환경을 지키고 건강도 챙기는 플로깅 활동에 앞으로도 적극 참여해, 더 나은 단양읍을 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
