【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 오는 4월 23일 탄금공원 주 무대에서 충주지명 탄생 1,085주년을 기념하는 충주의 날 행사를 개최한다.

이번 행사는 충주의 역사성과 문화적 가치를 재조명하고, 시민 화합과 지역 자긍심을 고취하고자 마련됐다. 

오후 2시부터는 시민 참여형 전시 및 체험행사가 운영되며, 오후 5시 40분부터는 공식 기념식과 축하공연이 진행될 예정이다.

시는 이날 시민들이 충주의 유구한 역사와 문화유산을 체험할 수 있도록 ‘문화유산으로 만나는 충주의 흔적’, 충주댐 준공 40주년을 맞아 준비한 ‘물속에 잠든 충주 이야기’ 등 역사 전시와 다채로운 체험 부스를 운영할 계획이다.

공식 기념식은 택견을 현대적으로 재해석한 무예 공연을 시작으로 △충주의 날 기념 오프닝과 시민 인터뷰 영상 상영 △시민 대상 시상 △새롭게 편곡한 시민의 노래 합창 △문화도시 지정 경과 보고 등이 이어지며 시민들과 함께 충주의 정체성을 공유하는 시간으로 꾸며진다.

기념식 후에는 ‘해피벌스데이 충주’를 주제로 축하 콘서트가 진행되며, 지역예술인들의 성악 무대와 함께 나상도·춘길·연예진 등 인기 있는 가수들의 다채로운 공연이 펼쳐질 예정이다.

행사 당일에는 시민 편의를 위한 다양한 혜택도 마련된다.

공공 체육시설과 공영주차장 8개소가 무료 개방되며 탄금공원 내 충주씨샵 할인행사, 관내 전통시장 주차장 무료 개방도 함께 진행된다.
