검사는 충주시민 누구나 거주지에 상관없이 충주시 보건소에서 무료로 받을 수 있다.

이 검사는 의료용 마약류 검사 도구를 활용한 소변검사 방식으로 진행된다.

총소요 시간은 상담을 포함해 30분 이내로 완료되며 마약류 6종(필로폰, 대마초, 모르핀, 코카인, 암페타민, 엑스터시)의 인체 잔존 여부 확인이 가능하다.
