이번 제2회 옥천전국연극제는 오는 10월 23일부터 26일까지 옥천문화예술회관에서 4일간 펼쳐질 예정이다.

공모 자격은 전국 공연 예술 단체 또는 개인이 대상이며 주제는 주민과 대중성에 초점을 맞춘 ‘행복한 웃음꽃이 필 만한’자유로운 내용이다. 다만 음악, 서커스 등 응모에 제한이 되는 조건이 있어 참가자들은 관련 내용을 필수로 확인해야 한다.

한편, 지난해 충청북도 기초단체에서 처음으로 시작된 ‘옥천전국연극제’는 9개 작품 모두 초청작으로 이루어졌다.

군은 지난해와 달리 작품 공모를 통해 우수한 극단을 선별하고 작품성 있는 연극으로 군민들을 찾아갈 예정이다.

황규철 옥천군수는 “지난해 성공적으로 개최된 만큼 올해도 군민들에게 일상의 즐거움을 선사할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라며“많은 신청 바란다”고 말했다.
