‘병역이행 감사 챌린지’는 병역 이행자들이 존경받는 사회분위기를 조성하기 위해 충북지방병무청과 도내 11개 시․군의회가 참여하는 릴레이 방식의 공동 캠페인이다.

이번 캠페인은 참여자가 인증 사진을 촬영한 후 언론이나 소셜미디어를 통해 홍보하고 다음 주자를 지명하는 방식으로 진행된다.

신현광 의장은 음성군의회 김영호 의장의 지목을 받아 챌린지에 참여했으며, 다음 주자로 괴산군의회 김낙영 의장을 지정했다.

신현광 의장은 “성실히 병역을 이행한 분들에게 존경과 감사의 뜻을 표할 수 있어 기쁘다”며 “앞으로도 병역이행이 자랑스러운 사회 분위기가 조성될 수 있도록 많은 관심과 응원을 부탁드린다”고 밝혔다.
