【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주시의회(의장 김현기)는 4월 10일 2024 회계연도 결산검사를 수행할 10명의 결산검사위원을 위촉하고 본격적인 결산 검사 활동을 시작하였다.

 이번 결산검사위원은 대표위원인 이완복 시의원을 비롯해 공인회계사, 세무사, 전직 공무원 등 각 분야의 전문가들로 구성됐다.

  결산검사위원들은 4월 10일부터 4월 29일까지 20일간 2024회계연도 세입․세출결산, 기금결산, 재무제표, 성과보고서, 결산서 첨부서류, 금고의 결산 등 예산집행 전반에 대해 철저하게 검사할 예정이다.

 김현기 의장은 “결산검사는 청주시민의 소중한 세금이 투명하고 합리적으로 사용되었는지를 확인하는 중요한 과정으로, 시민의 신뢰를 얻기 위해 재정운영의 합당성과 예산집행의 효율성을 강화하는데 중점을 두어 검사해 주시길 바란다.”고 당부했다.

 이완복 대표위원은 “결산검사를 통해 확인된 문제점과 개선 사항은 내년도 예산편성과 재정 운영의 방향을 설정하는 중요한 기준이 되므로, 시민의 세금이 계획된 목적에 따라 효율적으로 사용되었는지 꼼꼼히 점검하고 개선 방안을 제시하여 보다 건전하고 효율적인 재정 운영이 이루어지도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

 또한, 청주시장은 결산검사위원들이 작성한 검사 의견서를 오는 5월 31일까지 청주시의회에 제출하여야 하며, 6월 제1차 정례회에서 2024회계연도 결산에 대한 승인 절차를 진행할 예정이다.
