【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군보건의료원은 심정지 등 응급상황 발생 시 신속한 대응이 가능하도록 관내 경로당 15개소에 자동심장충격기(AED)를 추가로 설치했다고 밝혔다.

자동심장충격기는 심정지 상태의 환자에게 전기충격을 가해 심장을 정상적으로 뛰게 하는 응급의료장비로, 패드를 통해 수집된 심전도를 바탕으로 환자의 상태를 자동으로 분석하고 필요한 경우 전기충격을 가한다. 

사용법이 간단해 일반인도 쉽게 사용할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

이번에 자동심장충격기가 설치된 경로당은 △단양읍 천동리, △매포읍 평동2리·평동4리, △대강면 장림리·올산리·사인암리·방곡리·미노1리, △가곡면 대대1리·대대2리, △영춘면 남천2리·사이곡리, △어상천면 대전2리·연곡1리, △적성면 상2리 등 총 15개소다.

군보건의료원은 자동심장충격기 설치와 함께, 어르신들이 실제 응급상황 발생 시 장비를 정확히 사용할 수 있도록 경로당을 직접 방문해 심폐소생술 순회교육도 병행하고 있다.

보건의료원 관계자는 “이번 자동심장충격기 보급이 위급한 순간 어르신들의 소중한 생명을 지키는 데 실질적인 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
