【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도와 충북물포럼(공동대표 맹승진, 이동주)은 20일 오후 2시 청남대 대통령기념관(제1영빈관)에서 2025년 ‘세계 물의 날’ 기념행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

  이날 행사에는 이동옥 행정부지사, 이양섭 충북도의회 의장, 이태훈 건설소방환경위원회 위원장 맹승진·이동주 충북물포럼 공동대표 등을 비롯해 관련 기관, 환경단체, 도민, 대학생 등 120여 명이 참석했다.

  행사 프로그램으로는 식전 공연, 물관리 유공자 표창, 퍼포먼스 그리고 기조 강연순으로 진행됐다. 이동옥 행정부지사는 그간 충북의 물관리 발전에 크게 기여한 공무원 및 민간인 등 28명에게 환경부 장관 표창과 도지사 표창을 수여했다.

  이어서, 깨끗한 물의 가치와 물관리의 중요성을 알리고 충북의 물 환경변화에 적극적인 대응을 위해 ‘물을 가치있게! 수질 1등급 충북 실현!’의 비전을 담은 퍼포먼스를 펼쳤다. 

  퍼포먼스 후에는 ㈜휴먼플래닛의 황현동 박사가 ‘수질 1등급 충북 실현을 위한 수질개선 방안’이라는 주제로 기조 강연을 이어갔다. 

  이동옥 행정부지사는 기념사를 통해 “도정 중점사업으로 추진 중인 레이크파크 조성을 통해 물에 기반한 충북 생태환경을 더욱 맑고 깨끗하게 조성하는 데 도정 역량을 집중해 나가겠다”고 말했다. 

  한편, 충청북도는 지난해 9월부터 2032년까지 수질 1등급 달성을 위하여 충주댐, 달천, 대청댐, 미호강 4대 권역의 집중점검을 수시로 추진하고, 생활, 산업, 축산, 농업, 폐기물의 5개 분야 저감 사업 등 수질개선을 위한 사업을 적극 추진하고 있다.

Meanwhile, Chungcheongbuk-do has been conducting regular intensive inspections of the 4 major regions of Chungju Dam, Dalcheon, Daecheong Dam, and Miho River since September of last year to achieve the 1st grade water quality by 2032, and actively promoting projects to improve water quality, such as reduction projects in 5 areas: living, industry, livestock, agriculture, and waste.
