군은 4일, ‘편안한 노후생활 보장’, ‘노인의 삶의 질 향상 지원’, ‘장사문화 개선’ 등 3개 분야에서 총 55개의 노인복지 사업을 추진하며, 기초연금을 제외한 220억 7천만 원의 예산을 투입한다고 밝혔다.

군의 핵심 정책 중 하나는 ‘편안한 노후생활 보장’이며 주요사업으로 △노인일자리 및 사회활동 지원 △충북영상자서전 사업단 운영 △시니어자원봉사단 지원사업 △경로당 회장 교육비 지원 △노인복지시설지원 등이 있다. 

군은 노인일자리 및 사회활동 지원 사업을 통해 총 1,486명의 어르신에게 일자리를 제공하며 안정된 소득보장을 위해 지속적으로 노력할 계획이다. 

사업은 노인공익활동, 노인역량활용사업, 공동체사업단, 취업알선형으로 나뉘며, 약 59억 원의 예산이 배정됐다.

‘노인의 삶의 질 향상 지원’ 분야에는 △노인맞춤돌봄서비스 사업 △독거노인응급안전안심서비스 사업 △노인여가복지시설 운영 활성화 △경로당 운영지원 사업등이 중점적으로 추진된다.

취약계층 노인 900명을 대상으로 안부 확인, 말벗, 건강 교육 및 인지활동 프로그램을 제공하며, 14억 원의 예산이 투입된다.

사업에는 63명의 전담 인력을 투입해 보다 세심한 돌봄 서비스를 제공할 예정이다.

군은 경로당 342개소에 운영비와 냉난방비 약 21억 원을 지원하며, 노후화된 50여 개소의 경로당은 개보수 작업을 진행할 계획이다.

특히, 청천면 청천분회 경로당에는 엘리베이터를 증축하고, 소수면 수리2리 경로당은 신축을 통해 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 시설로 탈바꿈할 예정이다.

여가와 건강을 위한 체육 인프라 확충에도 힘을 쏟고 있다.

청천면에서는 노인 스포츠 활성화를 위해 총사업비 14억 원을 투입, 전천후 게이트볼장을 건립할 예정이다.

게이트볼장은 2026년 5월 준공을 목표로 하고 있으며, 노년층의 신체 활동과 커뮤니티 형성에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
