‘한국 관광 100선’은 문화체육관광부와 한국관광공사가 2년마다 한국인이 꼭 방문해야 할 관광명소 100곳을 선정해 국내외에 홍보하는 사업이다.

이번 선정은 대국민 만족도 조사와 빅데이터 분석, 관광 전문가의 서면·현장 평가를 거쳐 엄선된 결과다.

도담삼봉은 2013년 ‘한국관광 100선’ 선정이 시작된 이래 7회 연속 선정된 명소로, 2022년에는 한국관광공사가 선정한 안심관광지로도 주목받은 바 있다.

여기에 더해 군은 연간 460만 관광객이 찾는 도담삼봉을 중심으로 단양 주요 거점 관광지를 연결하는 에코순환루트 인프라 구축사업을 추진 중이다. 

이 사업은 도담삼봉과 만천하스카이워크, 다누리 아쿠아리움 등 주요 관광지를 자전거와 스마트 모빌리티로 둘러볼 수 있는 친환경 관광 인프라 구축을 목표로 한다.
