【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자= 제천시는(시장 김창규) 지난 1월 31일 지역의 미래를 설계하고 발전 방향을 모색하기 위한 ‘제천시 미래사업 제안 보고회’를 개최했다. 

 이번 보고회는 민선8기 제천시의 성과를 토대로 새로운 미래비전을 공유하고, 지속 가능한 성장 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진되었으며, 김창규 제천시장을 비롯한 부시장, 국소장 및 부서장, 주무팀장 등 100여 명의 공직자들이 참여한 가운데 다양한 분야에서 혁신적인 아이디어와 제안 사업들이 논의되었다.

 이번 보고회에서는 제천시 모든 부서가 업무 경계를 넘어 협력 제출한 총 88건의 미래사업이 제안 발표되었으며, 지역경제, 사회, 문화, 예술, 체육, 환경 등 다양한 분야에서 발전 가능성을 지닌 사업들이 제시되었다. 

 현장에서는 열띤 토론과 질의응답을 통해 제안된 사업의 실현 가능성과 구체적인 발전 방안 또한 심도 있게 논의 되었다.

 제천시는 금번 미래사업 제안 보고회를 계기로 시장․부시장․국소장․각 부서장․주무팀장 등이 참여하는 100인의 정책 창의 발전소를 운영하는 한편, 보고회를 통해 제안된 88건의 미래사업을 심층 분석하고 추진 가능성을 종합 검토하여 2월 초까지 주요 핵심 미래사업을 선정 발표한다는 방침이다.

 김창규 제천시장은 “이번 보고회를 통해 지역사회의 다양한 목소리를 반영한 창의적인 아이디어를 확인할 수 있었다”며 “제안된 사업들이 지역의 새로운 성장 동력으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 실현가능한 사업을 파악하여 적극 반영할 계획”이라고 말했다.
