【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 인삼씨름단(감독 연승철, 코치 서수일) 소속 이완수가 설날장사씨름대회에서 생애 두 번째 장사 꽃가마를 탔다고 31일 밝혔다.

군에 따르면, 지난 25일 충청남도 태안군 태안종합실내체육관에서 열린 ‘위더스제약 2025 태안설날장사씨름대회’소백장사(72㎏ 이하) 결정전(5전 3승제)에서 이완수가 소백장사에 등극했다. 

2018년 천하장사 대회에서 생애 첫 태백장사에 오른 이후 7년 만이다.

이완수는 16강과 8강에서 각각 김덕일(울주군청)과 유환철(용인특례시청)을 2-1로 꺾은 이후 4강에서 황찬섭(제주특별자치도청)을 2-1로 제압하고 장사결정전에 올랐다. 

두 번째 소백장사 타이틀에 도전하는 전성근(영월군청)과 만난 결승에서도 왼발목잡기로 첫판을 따낸 후 밀어치기와 안다리걸기로 연달아 전성근을 3-0으로 쓰러뜨렸다.

이완수는 경기 뒤 인터뷰에서 “5년간의 공백기가 있었는데 연승철 감독님과 서수일 코치님께서 잘 이끌어 주신 덕분에 지금 이 자리에 올 수 있었다”며, “팀 분위기가 매우 돈독하고 좋아 동료들에게도 감사하고 마지막으로 부모님께 정말 감사드린다”고 감격의 소감을 전했다.
