【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 농업인들의 경영 부담 완화를 위해 농업기계 임대료 50% 인하 기간을 올해 12월 말까지 연장한다고 10일 밝혔다.

군은 지난해에도 농업기계 임대료 50% 감면을 시행해 총 6797대의 농업기계에 대해 1억8천여만 원의 감면 혜택으로 농업인의 경영비 절감에 크게 이바지해 호응을 얻었다.

농업기계 임대료 인하 정책은 당초 지난해 말까지 한시적으로 시행될 예정이었으나, 군은 농촌의 일손 부족과 인건비 상승 등으로 여전히 어려움을 겪고 있는 농업인들을 지원하기 위해 올해 12월 말까지 추가 연장을 결정했다. 

농업기계 임대료 50% 인하 연장 시행은 농업인의 경제적 어려움을 경감하고, 농촌경제 안정화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

조병옥 군수는 “농업기계화를 통해 농촌인력 부족 문제를 완화하고, 농가의 경영 부담을 줄이기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 현재 임대사업소(본소)는 신축 공사를 위해 운영을 일시적으로 중단하고 있으나, 오는 10월 중 새롭게 단장한 모습으로 다시 문을 열 예정이다. 

신축 후에는 더욱 향상된 시설과 서비스를 통해 농업인들에게 더욱 나은 편의를 제공할 계획이다.
