【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 동양기업㈜(대표 이영주, 유성모)은 진천군청을 방문해 진천군 기초푸드뱅크 지원을 위한 성금 500만 원을 전달했다고 10일 밝혔다.

  동양기업(주)은 청주시 청원구 오창읍에 소재해 있으며, 자연 친화적인 합성목재를 개발해 시공하는 기업이다. 

동양기업 관계자는 “적은 금액이지만 푸드뱅크에 전달돼 지역 결식 예방에 도움이 됐으면 좋겠다”며, “앞으로도 어려운 이웃을 돌보며 사회적 책임을 다하는 기업이 되겠다”고 말했다. 

같은 날 광혜원면 주민자치회(회장 장현성)는 광혜원면 행정복지센터를 방문해 이웃돕기 성금 100만 원을 전달했다.

  이번 성금은 제3기 주민자치회 회원들의 의견을 모아 어려운 이웃을 위해 회원들이 직접 모아 마련됐다.

  장현성 주민자치회장은 “광혜원면 주민자치회 위원들의 마음을 담은 성금이 지역사회에 조금이라도 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

  이번에 기탁된 성금은 충북사회복지공동모금회를 통해 독거노인, 조손 가정 등 저소득 취약계층을 위해 사용될 예정이다.
