【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군이 문화체육관광부 주최, 한국도서관문화진흥원이 주관하는 ‘2025년 작은도서관 순회사서 지원’ 공모 사업에 최종 선정되어 4년 연속 사업을 추진하게 되었음을 10일 밝혔다.

이에, 옥천군은 순회 사서 인력 및 프로그램 운영비를 국비로 지원받게 됐다.

옥천군민도서관은 순회 사서 2명을 이번 달 선발해 오는 11월까지 작은 도서관 5곳에 파견할 계획이다.

순회 사서는 도서관을 순회하며 장서 관리 기술과 독서·문화프로그램 운영, 운영자 실무 교육 지원 등 업무를 맡는다.

올해 지원한 도서관들은 행복동이 작은도서관, 꿈이있는 작은도서관, 군서작은도서관, 군북작은도서관, 청성작은도서관 5곳이다.

이번 사업을 통해 전문인력을 지원함으로써 도서관 운영에 내실을 다지고 공공도서관과의 업무 협력기반도 구축할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

곽명영 행교육과장은 “이번 사업 선정은 옥천군 작은도서관의 사업 추진에 대한 의지가 반영된 결과이며 이번 사업을 통해 지역 주민들에게 양질의 독서문화 서비스를 제공하도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
