【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군은 올해 행안부 주관 ‘2024년 공유재산 총조사’로 전국 2위 우수기관에 선발되면서 우수상과 특별교부세 6천만 원을 수상했다고 9일 밝혔다.

이는 작년 ‘대부 갱신대상 불법사항 정리 5개년계획’으로 대통령상과 포상금 8백만 원을 수상한 데 이어 2년 연속 공유재산 분야 우수 지차체로 선정되는 영예를 안게 된 것이다.

이번 분야는 공유재산 오류 대장 정비 실적을 기준으로 선정되었으며 재정수입 확충에 필요한 체계적인 재산관리를 위해 전국 지자체의 공유재산을 전수조사하고 관리·활용 현황을 분석하여 진행되었다. 

옥천군은 공유재산의 오류 대장 총 3,587건 중 3,571건을 정비하여 99.55%의 정비율을 달성하였으며 누락 재산 78억 원을 발굴하였다. 

이러한 성과는 현·구·폐쇄토지대장과 등기부등본 등을 하나 하나 열람한 담당자의 열정으로 얻어낸 결실이다.

이외에도, 옥천군은 전국 최초 한국전력공사로부터 선하지 손실보상을 받아 2023년과 2024년 2년에 걸쳐 공유재산으로 3억원의 세입을 확보한 바 있다.  

또한 2021년부터 공유재산 내 불법사항을 정리하기 시작하여 2천여만 원의 추가 세입을 확보하였으며 올해엔 13백만 원의 세입이 추가 확보될 예정이다.

황규철 군수는 “이번 특교세와 선하지 손실보상으로 세수확보에 어려움에 처한 군 재정에 가뭄에 단비가 되어질 것으로 전망되며, 공유재산 분야의 적극행정과 선진화를 이끌어 가는 옥천군이 될 수 있도록 더욱더 노력할 것”이라고 말했다.
