【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=이재영 증평군수가 8일 오후 3시 서울 중구 소재 주한 캄보디아 대사관으로부터 감사패를 받았다.

이날 감사패는 찌릉 보툼랑세이(Chring Botumrangsay) 주한 캄보디아 대사가 직접 전달했으며, 양국 간 교류협력을 더욱 강화하기 위한 간담회도 함께 진행됐다.

군은 2022년부터 주한 캄보디아 대사관을 통해 캄보디아와 지속적으로 인연을 이어오며 교류의 폭을 넓혀왔다.

2023년 10월 캄보디아 칸달주와 우호교류 의향서 협약 체결하며 양측의 협력 관계를 공식화했고, 지난해 4월에는 캄보디아에 소방차 1대와 구급차 2대를 무상 지원하며 글로벌시대 국제외교에 앞장서 왔다.

또한 캄보디아 농림부와 농업기술 협력 방안과 인삼 수출 등 교류를 활성화하는 한편, 재한캄보디아 유학생을 대상으로 한국문화 체험을 운영하며 증평의 역사와 관광 명소를 알리는 등 문화적 교류도 활발히 진행 중이다.

이재영 군수는 “증평군과 캄보디아가 그동안 쌓아온 우애와 협력을 토대로 올해에도 농업, 경제, 문화, 관광 등 다양한 분야에서 교류가 확산될 수 있길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
