【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=한국도로교통공단 충청북도지부(지역본부장 이은숙)가 최근 5년간 교통사고 빅데이터를 분석한 결과, 음주운전 교통사고는 금요일 22시~24시에 가장 많이 발생하였으며, 음주운전 교통사망사고는 20대(21~30세)에서 가장 많이 발생했다. 

충청북도에서는 최근 5년간(’19~’23년) 총 3,224건의 음주운전사고로 44명의 사망자와 5,107명의 부상자가 발생했다. 전체 교통사고 중 음주운전사고가 차지하는 비율은 7.8%로 평균적으로 충북에서 매일 약 2건의 음주운전사고가 발생하고 있다. 전국적으로는 75,950건의 음주운전 교통사고로 1,161명의 사망자와 122,566명의 부상자가 발생했다.  

연령대별로 보면 전체 교통사고는 50대(51~60세) 운전자의 구성비가 23.2%로 높았으나, 음주운전사고에서 만큼은 20대(21~30세)와 40대(41~50세) 운전자에 의한 사고가 각 21.4% 이었으며, 음주운전 교통사망사고는 20대가 22.7%로 가장 높게 나타났다.

술을 마시면 공간지각능력과 반응속도가 떨어져 앞 차와 추돌사고 위험이 커지는데, 실제로 전체 차대차 교통사고에서 19.6%를 차지한 추돌사고 구성비가 음주운전사고에서는 40.2%로 크게 증가했다.
