소는 395호에 23,557두, 염소는 64호에 8,000두, 돼지는 35호에 109,591두이다.

군은 구제역 백신접종 관리 강화를 위해 매년 4월과 10월 일제접종을 시행하고 있다. 

소 소규모(50두 미만) 사육 농가와 염소 사육 농가는 읍·면별 공수의사를 통해 예방접종을 실시하며, 소 전업(50두 이상) 사육 농가와 돼지 사육 농가는 축협동물병원에서 백신 구입 후 자가 접종을 실시할 계획이다.

 군 관계자는 “구제역 발생 방지를 위해 실시하는 백신 일제접종이 수월하게 진행될 수 있도록 적극 협조해주시기 바란다”며, “백신 접종과 더불어 가축 질병이 발생하지 않도록 농장 차단방역 등에 철저를 기해주시기 바란다”고 전했다.
