【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=윤건영 충청북도교육감은 2일, 충주여자고등학교를 방문해 학생들의 의견을 반영한 충북교육 정책 실현을 위해 <위드 스튜던트(With Students) 초대하기> 행사에 참여하였다.

<With Students 초대하기>는 그동안 모아진 학생들의 의견을 발표하는 자리로 강당 꽃술관에서 개최되었다.

그간 학교 안에서 진행된 ‘온슬경지’말하기 온슬경지(昷瑟景志) 말하기’는 2024학년도 충북 교육을 대표하는 학생 창작 한자성어를 차용한 것으로 “마음을 담아, 기를 담아, 험을 담아, 식을 담아 말하다.”라는  With Student의 기본 방향을 상징하고 있다.  

에서 모아진 의견을 교육감과 지자체장들을 초대하여 발표함으로써 학생들의 의견이 정책에 반영될 수 있는 실질적인 자리를 준비한 것이다. 

이날(2일) 발표회에는 윤건영 충청북도교육감, 이정훈 충주교육지원청 교육장과 이정범 충청북도의회 교육위원회 위원장, 조길형 충주시장 등이 참석하여 학생들의 정책 제안을 듣고 학생들의 입장을 이해하고 공감하며 교육 정책을 실현하기 위한 방안을 함께 논의하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.

또한, ▲충주시 지역상인회와 함께하는 진로체험 ▲일반고와 직업계고에 재학하면서 예체능계 진로를 모색하는 학생들에 대한 지원 방안 ▲타학교 학생들과 연합하는 프로젝트 활동 기획 ▲학생들의 학습 환경을 지원하는 무료 독서실 등에 관련한 참신한 정책들을 제안했다.

아울러, 다양한 방법의 온슬경지 말하기(연극, 노래, 댄스) 등을 통해서 자신들의 의견과 아이디어를 발표함으로써 다재다능한 면모를 선보이기도 했다. 

특히, 환경과 관련한 충주여고 학생들의 창의 연극 <분리수거 전>은 지속가능한 환경 교육에 대한 많은 시사점을 제시하였다.

발표회를 준비한 학생들은 “이런 자리가 있기까지 자신들을 지도해준 선생님들에게 깊은 감사의 말을 전한다. 또한, 우리의 이야기를 성심껏 들어준 내빈들에게 진심으로 존경의 마음을 표한다.”며, 교육공동체의 따뜻한 소통의 긍정적인 힘을 보여주였다. 

윤건영 교육감은 “이번 행사는 모든 학생들의 의견에 귀 기울여 학생 한 명 한 명이 교육과 사회의 주인공으로서 성장할 수 있는 기회를 만들어 나가는 좋은 선례가 되었다.”는 소감과 함께 “학생들이 제안해준 빛나는 아이디어와 소중한 목소리를 지자체뿐만 아니라 많은 기관과 협조하여 충북교육 정책에 반영하겠다.”고 밝히며 함께 해준 충주여고 학생들에게 무한한 응원을 보냈다.
