충북교육청이 28일 오후 1시 30분 충청북도교육연구정보원 시청각실에서 선보인 블랜디드(온오프라인 혼합)형 포럼이다.

 

이날, 김병우 교육감이 4명의 도내 석학들과 “사람중심 미래교육”에 관한 토론을 마치고 소개한 초중고 학생 545명에게 물어본 “내가 상상하는 미래학교” 설문결과는 재미와 의미를 더했다.

 

김병우 교육감이 소개한 자료에 따르면, 응답 학생의 48%인 261명은 폭력이 없는 학교, 맛있는 급식이 나오는 학교, 소통이 원활한 학교, 다양한 교과가 운영되고 맞춤형 진로가 넘치는 학교 등을 미래학교로 꿈꿨다.

 

김병우 교육감이 평소 강조하던 ‘한 아이도 포기하지 않는 교육’을 학생들도 꿈꾸는 것으로 풀이된다. 

 

18%인 96명은 로봇과 함께하는 학교, 디지털 학교 등 첨단학교를 희망했고, 7%인 36명은 하늘을 나는 공중부양학교, 바다위에 있는 학교, 워터파크가 있는 학교 등 톡톡튀는 아이디어로 미래학교를 꿈꾸는 재미를 더했다.

 

6%인 30명은 체육수업을 많이 하거나 놀이와 수업을 병행하는 학교 등을 미래 학교로 기대했다.

 

포럼은 김병우 교육감이 좌장을 맡았다. 

 

충북 교육정책 위탁연구 책임연구자인 교수 4명의 미래교육 관련 주제 발표와 김병우 교육감의 정리발언과 토의, 청중제안과 질의답변 순으로 진행됐다.

 

토의에서는 학생들이 저마다 꿈꾸는 충북미래교육이 영상으로 소개되었다.  

 

이 영상에서 김병우 교육감과 이름이 같은 운호고등학교 김병우 학생은 “미래학교는 미래에 대한 기대감에 그치는 학교가 아니라 지금부터 우리가 바꿔가야 할 학교다 라고 생각합니다”라고 말해 청중에게 깊은 인상을 줬다. 

 

포럼 기조는 학생중심교육, 교육격차해소, 지역이 함께하는 교육이었다.

 

포럼 시작을 알리는 충북예술고 학생들의 음악과 무용 영상공연은 사람중심 충북미래교육이 시작됨을 알렸다.

 

미래교육 주제발표에서 한국교원대 김용 교수는 학교 밖 배움을 인정하는 유연한 제도와 기초학력을 넘어선 적정학력 보장을, 충북대 나민주 교수는 교육자치 구현을 위한 교육행정기관의 역할을, 공주대 양병찬 교수는 마을교육공동체를 통한 공동체성 회복을 강조했다.

 

세명대 김계수 교수는 고교학점제와 학교장의 혁신 리더십 등을 기반으로 하는 고교교육 다양화로 제천지역 고교 혁신방안을 발표했다.

 

김병우 교육감은 “인구절벽시대, 미래교육은 한명의 아이도 포기 하지 않는 교육, 학교를 넘어선 배움의 교육”이라며 “현장 및 전문가와 지속적으로 소통하면서 사람중심 미래교육 전략을 수정‧보완해 나가겠다”고 말했다. 

 

코로나19 3단계 격상에 따라 포럼 참여는 50명 이내로 제한되었지만 유튜브(행복씨TV)로 생중계되어 아쉬움을 달랬다.
