【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 3일, 흥덕고등학교와 충청대학교가 함께 운영하는 캠퍼스 융합형 전공과 신입생 입학식을 열고, 운영기관 현판식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 윤건영 교육감과 송승호 총장을 비롯해 흥덕고 및 충청대 교직원 등 관계자 30여 명이 참석했으며, 충북 최초로 도입된 대학 연계 캠퍼스 융합형 전공과의 출발을 알리는 자리로 진행됐다.

대학 연계 캠퍼스 융합형 전공과는 특수교육대상학생의 사회적 자립과 지역사회 통합 기반 조성을 목표로 흥덕고등학교와 충청대학교가 협력해 운영하는 교육 모델이다.

교육과정은 학점은행제 연계 학점 인정과 대학 시설‧인프라를 활용한 직업교육 중심으로 구성되며, 충청대학교의 실용음악‧반려동물‧호텔조리파티쉐‧시각디자인 등 관련 학과와 연계해 진로‧취업 지원을 강화할 계획이다.

이를 위해 도교육청은 ▲지역대학 연계 캠퍼스 융합형 전공과 모델 개발 정책연구 ▲운영 매뉴얼 개발 ▲전공과 준비지원 TF 운영 ▲전공과 교육과정 및 학점은행제 연계 ▲진로‧취업 지원 체계 구축 등 현장 적용 기반을 마련해 왔다.

향후 도교육청은 해당 모델이 장애학생의 진로 선택 기회를 넓히고 지역 특수교육 현장에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 컨설팅과 현장 지원을 지속 강화할 계획이다.

윤건영 교육감은 “특수교육은 배려의 영역이 아니라 보장되어야 할 권리의 영역”이라며 “캠퍼스 융합형 전공과를 통해 특수교육대상학생의 배움의 폭을 넓히고, 졸업 이후의 삶까지 연결되는 실질적인 지원을 이어가겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
