【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군립도서관이 군민들의 독서 편의를 높이기 위해 이달 4일부터  군 직영 도서관 6개소를 연계한 통합 상호대차 서비스를 시행한다.

상호대차 서비스는 군민이 원하는 도서를 가까운 도서관에서 편리하게 수령하고 반납할 수 있는 제도다.

특정 도서관에 찾는 책이 없더라도, 다른 참여 도서관에 소장된 자료를 신청하면 주로 이용하는 도서관으로 배송돼 대출할 수 있다.

서비스 참여 도서관은 △증평군립도서관 △창의파크 작은도서관 △어울림 작은도서관 △김득신스마트도서관(도안면) △보강천스마트도서관 △증평역스마트도서관 등 총 6곳이다. 

다만 스마트도서관 3곳(김득신·보강천·증평역)의 경우 무인 운영 시스템 특성상 해당 스마트도서관에서 대출한 도서는 해당 스마트도서관 또는 증평군립도서관에서만 반납이 가능하다.

군은 이번 서비스 도입을 통해 분산된 도서관 자료를 효율적으로 활용하고, 군민의 독서 접근성을 높이는 것은 물론 도서관 이용률과 서비스 만족도 향상도 기대하고 있다.

군 관계자는 “군민이 생활권 내 가까운 도서관에서 더욱 편리하게 책을 이용할 수 있도록 통합 상호대차 서비스를 마련했다”며 “앞으로도 군민의 독서 환경 개선과 도서관 서비스 확대를 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
