【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군 농업인들의 간절한 바람이 도담삼봉 아래에 울려 퍼졌다.

(사)한국후계농업경영인 단양군연합회는 27일 단양팔경의 하나인 도담삼봉 주차장에서 ‘제18회 풍년기원제’를 열고 한 해 풍년과 군민의 안녕을 기원했다.

이날 행사에는 농업인과 기관·단체장 등 150여 명이 참석해 경건한 마음으로 제를 올렸다.

풍년기원제는 초헌관 헌작과 축문 낭독 등 전통 제례 절차에 따라 엄숙하게 진행됐다. 농악 가락이 울려 퍼지자 참석자들은 두 손을 모으고 한 해 농사의 무탈과 풍요를 기원했다.

지난해는 농업인들에게 쉽지 않은 한 해였다. 

봄철 이상저온과 여름철 집중호우, 우박 피해까지 겹치며 농심을 애태웠다. 

“농사는 하늘이 반”이라는 말처럼 자연재해 앞에서 속을 태운 날이 많았다.

손태호 연합회장은 “지난해는 여러 어려움이 있었지만, 올해는 단양 농민들 얼굴에 웃음꽃이 피는 한 해가 되길 바란다”며 “모두가 힘을 모아 풍년 농사를 이루자”고 말했다.

김문근 단양군수는 “농업은 단양의 뿌리이자 지역경제의 근간”이라며 “단 한 건의 농업재해 없이 수확의 기쁨을 누리는 한 해가 되길 바란다”고 말했다. 

도담삼봉 아래에서 올린 정성 어린 제례처럼, 단양 농업인들의 올 한 해 농사도 든든히 여물기를 모두가 함께 기원했다.

The Danyang County Association of Korean Successor Farmers held the '18th Harvest Prayer Ceremony' on the 27th at the parking lot of Dodamsambong Peak, one of the Eight Scenic Views of Danyang, to pray for a bountiful harvest and the well-being of the county residents.

Approximately 150 farmers and heads of organizations attended the event, offering prayers with reverent hearts.

The Harvest Prayer Ceremony was solemnly conducted following traditional ritual procedures, including the offering of offerings by the first official and the recitation of congratulatory remarks. As the music of Nongak (farmers' music) filled the air, attendees clasped their hands and prayed for a safe and bountiful harvest for the year.

Last year was a challenging one for farmers.
