【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북도는 27일 도청 대회의실에서 도내 바이오 기업인과 기관 관계자 등 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘바이오 기업인 초청 타운홀 미팅’을 개최했다.

  이번 타운홀 미팅은‘현장에서 묻고 정책으로 답하다’라는 슬로건아래, 도내 바이오 기업들의 애로사항과 정책 수요를 직접 청취하기 위해 타운홀 방식으로 마련되었다.

  이날 행사는 옵티팜 김현일 대표로 사회로 진행되었으며, 김영환 도지사를 비롯해 메타바이오메드, 바이오톡스텍, 노바렉스, 오가노이드 사이언스 등 도내 주요 바이오기업과 오송첨단의료산업진흥재단, 한국생명공학연구원 등 기관 관계자들이 참석하였다.

 기업 우수 사례 발표에서는 도내 바이오 기업들이 혁신적인 기술개발을 소개하여 참석자들의 큰 호응을 얻었고, 자유토론 형식으로 진행된 소통 시간에서는 기업의 건의사항과 실질적인 지원방안에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 이루어졌다. 기업들은 소규모 R&D 및 시제품 제작 지원 확대, 전문인력 양성 및 지역 정주 기반 강화 등을 주요과제로 제시하였으며, 특히 초기 바이오기업의 연구개발 역량 강화와 성장 기반 마련을 위한 지원 사업 등을 건의했다.

 김영환 도지사는 “최근 리모델링을 통해 도민과 소통하는 복합문화공간으로 탈바꿈한 대회의실에 충북의 미래를 책임질 바이오인들과 함께해 매우 뜻깊다”며, “바이오 분야에서 가장 최근 성과를 꼽자면, 도정 최대 현안 사업인 K-바이오 스퀘어를 실현하기 위한 전초기지가 될 오송 카이스트 바이오 스퀘어 개소를 들 수 있는데, 충북도는 바이오 창업과 혁신을 선도하는 핵심 거점으로 발전해 나갈 것이다”고 말했다. 

 충북도는 이번 타운홀 미팅에서 제안된 현장의 의견들을 바탕으로 2026년 바이오 정책 추진 방향을 수립하고, 기업들이 체감할 수 있는 기업맞춤형 중심의 지원사업을 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
