군은 2024년부터 대상포진 예방접종 무료 지원 사업을 단계적으로 운영해 왔으며, 지난해에는 65세 이상 짝수년도 출생자를, 2025년은 홀수년도 출생자를 대상으로 접종을 진행했다.

올해부터는 출생연도 구분 없이 65세 이상 군민 모두가 접종 대상이다.

무료 접종을 희망하는 군민은 보건소로 문의 후 신분증을 지참해 방문하면 된다.

군 보건소 관계자는 “대상포진 예방접종 지원을 통해 고령층의 경제적 부담을 줄이고, 발병 및 합병증으로부터 군민의 건강을 보호할 수 있도록 지속적으로 사업을 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
