【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 12일, 청주 메리다컨벤션에서 다문화교육 정책학교 및 한국어학급 운영교 및 교원, 직속기관‧교육지원청 담당자 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 2025년 하반기 다문화교육 워크숍을 개최했다. 

이번 워크숍은 다문화교육 정책학교 2년간 사업을 마무리하고 정리하기 위해 마련되었으며 학생 발표, 전문가 특강, 사례 공유 등으로 진행되었다. 

먼저, 전국이중언어말하기대회 수상 학생들이 모국어 및 한국어 발표를 통해 다문화교육의 가치와 이주배경학생들이 가진 잠재력을 생생하게 전달하였다. 

특히 교육부장관상 수상자인 우암초 마디나 학생은 <다름 속의 닮음>이라는 주제로 두 나라 문화의 비슷한 점과 차이점을 우즈베크어로 발표하여 큰 호응을 얻었다. 

이어, 한국교육개발원 윤현희 박사가 <모두의 성장을 위한 다문화교육>을 주제로 다문화교육의 이슈 변화와 이주배경학생 교육의 과제에 대해 특강을 진행하였다. 

마지막으로 한천초‧덕산중‧대소중 교사가 참여하는 사례 나눔을 통해 학부모와의 소통 방식, 교과연계 수업 운영, 정서‧언어적 지원 사례 등 실제 현장에서 축적된 노하우를 공유하였다.

홍승표 유초등교육과장은 “이번 워크숍을 통해 우리 교육 현장의 다문화 감수성과 한국어학급 운영 역량이 한층 강화되기를 기대한다.”라며, “충북교육청은 모두가 차별 없이 배우고 함께 성장하는 교육을 지속적으로 실현해 나갈 것이다.”라고 밝혔다.

Chungbuk Provincial Office of Education Holds 2025 Second Half Multicultural Education Workshop

On the 12th, the Chungbuk Provincial Office of Education held a 2025 Second Half Multicultural Education Workshop at the Merida Convention Center in Cheongju. Approximately 100 participants, including teachers and administrators of multicultural education policy schools and Korean language classes, as well as officials from affiliated organizations and education support offices, attended the workshop.

This workshop, designed to conclude and summarize the two-year project of the multicultural education policy school, featured student presentations, expert lectures, and case studies.

First, award-winning students from the National Bilingual Speech Contest vividly demonstrated the value of multicultural education and the potential of students with immigrant backgrounds through presentations in their native languages ​​and Korean.

In particular, Madina, a student from Uam Elementary School and recipient of the Minister of Education Award, delivered a presentation in Uzbek titled "Similarities in Differences," which garnered enthusiastic responses.

Next, Dr. Yoon Hyun-hee from the Korean Educational Development Institute gave a special lecture on "Multicultural Education for Everyone's Growth," exploring evolving issues in multicultural education and the challenges of educating students with immigrant backgrounds.

Finally, teachers from Hancheon Elementary School, Deoksan Middle School, and Daejo Middle School shared case studies, sharing practical expertise on topics such as communication methods with parents, curriculum-linked instruction, and emotional and linguistic support.

Hong Seung-pyo, Director of the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Division, stated, "I hope this workshop will further strengthen our educational system's multicultural sensitivity and Korean language class management capabilities." He added, "The Chungbuk Office of Education will continue to strive for an education where everyone learns without discrimination and grows together."
