【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북대학교가 12월 11일(목) 충북대 대학본부에서 한국기초과학지원연구원, 한국원자력연구원, 충청북도, 대전광역시와 이차전지 혁신 생태계 조성을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 학연 협력 플랫폼 구축 시범사업의 일환으로 추진됐으며, 참여 기관들은 ▲이차전지 산업 기반 인력양성 및 재직자 교육 운영 ▲연구 인프라·장비·시설 공동 활용 체계 구축 ▲지역 산업혁신 및 기업 지원 강화 ▲정부·지자체 공동사업 발굴 및 추진 ▲네트워크 및 정책 협력 강화 등에서 협력하기로 했다. 이를 통해 초광역권 협력체계를 구축하고 지속가능한 학연 협력 기반을 마련하여 국가·지역 이차전지 혁신 생태계 조성에 기여한다는 계획이다.

협약식에서 정우현 충북대 연구처장은 기관·지역 간 협력 강화를 통해 차세대 에너지 기술 경쟁력 확보를 지원하겠다고 밝혔으며, 정상문 충북대 공과대학 학장 겸 학연협력플랫폼 총괄단장은 대학·출연연·지자체 협력을 기반으로 이차전지 경쟁력 강화에 나서겠다고 말했다.

아울러 김수인 충청북도 과학인재국장은 “한국기초과학지원연구원이 청주 오창 가속기 전담기관인 만큼 충북도의 이차전지 산업과의 연계 협력이 중요하다”며 이번 협약을 계기로 산업 발전에 기여하겠다고 밝혔다. 순철웅 대전광역시 미래전략산업실장은 “충북과 대전의 혁신 자원을 결합하면 국가 차원의 초광역 배터리 산업 생태계를 구축할 수 있다”며 양 지역 간 실질적 시너지를 강조했다.
