【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시농업기술센터는 지역 한국폴레텍대학, 한국마이스터대학 등의 우수강사들과 협력해 지난 2월부터 10개월 동안 진행한 ‘제13기 충주농업인 대학’ 졸업식을 11일 개최했다.

충주농업인대학은 이론과 실무능력을 두루 갖춘 전문농업 경영인 양성을 위한 교육과정을 다루고 있다.

2025년 제13기 충주농업인대학에서는 △스마트팜 보급을 위한 ‘스마트농업학과’ △미래형사과과원 확대를 위한 ‘사과학과’ △농업융복합을 위한 ‘가공창업학과’ 등 ‘2030 충주 미래농업비전과제’를 실행하기 위한 3개 학과를 운영했다.

특히, 교육생을 대상으로 품목별 간편 스마트팜 실증 시범사업 2개소를 추진해 저비용 효율적인 스마트팜 모델을 선보이며 현장에 즉시 접목 가능한 실용성을 증명하기도 했다.

교육 과정에는 62명의 학생이 참여했으며, 최종 55명이 수료에 성공했다.

졸업식에는 교육생 등 관계자 70여 명이 참석한 가운데 우수교육생 시상, 수료증 수여, 활동영상 상영, 개근상 수여, 과정별 종합평가 등 알찬 프로그램이 진행됐다.

농기센터 관계자는 “10개월 동안 어려운 환경에서도 적극 참여해 준 교육생들에게 감사와 축하의 인사를 전한다”며 “지역농업 혁신과 전문 농업인을 지역 핵심인재로 육성하는 견인차로서 농업인대학에 더 많은 충주 농업인들의 참여가 이루어지도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center stated, "We would like to express our gratitude and congratulations to the trainees for their active participation over the past 10 months despite challenging circumstances.
