【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군은 지난 10일 동이면 행복동이 힐링센터에서 ‘2026년 옥천군 마을만들기사업 선정을 위한 성과공유회(마을만들기대회)를 성황리에 개최하고, 2026년도 마을만들기사업 대상지로 3개 마을을 최종 선정했다.

이번 성과공유회는 지난 1년간 2025년 옥천마을포럼을 추진해온 5개 마을(청산면 삼방리·한곡리, 안남면 도덕1리, 동이면 금암2리, 이원면 건진2리)이 참여해 사업 추진 결과를 공유하고 마을발전계획을 발표하는 자리로 마련됐다. 각 마을 주민 10명씩 총 50명이 발표에 참여했으며, 군민평가단 30명과 전문 심사단 7명이 함께 평가에 참여해 객관성과 공정성을 높였다.

행사는 퓨전국악팀 Iona의 유윤영 해금 공연으로 막을 올렸고, 이어진 5개 마을의 사업발표와 질의응답에서는 열띤 경쟁이 펼쳐졌다. 심사 집계 시간에는 동이면 라인댄스팀의 축하공연이 분위기를 한층 띄웠다.

심사 결과, 뜨거운 경쟁 끝에 청산면 한곡리, 동이면 금암2리, 안남면 도덕1리 3개 마을이 2026년도 마을만들기사업 대상지로 최종 선정됐다.

황규철 옥천군수는 “선정된 3개 마을이 지역발전의 중심이 되어 활력을 불어넣을 것으로 기대한다”며 “성공적인 사업 추진을 위해 행정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다. 이어 옥천군 농업기술센터 유정용 소장은 “아쉽게 선정되지 못한 마을도 내년 재도전 기회를 통해 더 큰 도약을 이루길 바란다”고 격려의 메시지를 전했다.

Three Villages Selected for the 2026 Village Creation Project

Okcheon County successfully held the "2026 Okcheon County Village Creation Project Selection Session (Village Creation Competition)" at the Haengbokdongi Healing Center in Dong-i-myeon on the 10th, and finally selected three villages as recipients of the 2026 Village Creation Project.

This results sharing session featured five villages (Sambang-ri and Hangok-ri in Cheongsan-myeon; Dodok 1-ri in Annam-myeon; Geumam 2-ri in Dong-i-myeon; and Geonjin 2-ri in Iwon-myeon) that have been promoting the 2025 Okcheon Village Forum for the past year. They shared the project's progress and presented their village development plans. A total of 50 people, ten residents from each village, participated in the presentations. Thirty members of the county's citizen evaluation panel and seven expert judges also participated in the evaluation, enhancing objectivity and fairness.

The event opened with a haegeum performance by the fusion Korean traditional music team Iona, led by Yu Yoon-young. This was followed by a heated Q&A session with project presentations from five villages. During the judging, a congratulatory performance by the Dong-i-myeon Line Dance Team further enlivened the atmosphere.

After a fierce competition, three villages were finally selected for the 2026 Village Creation Project: Hangok-ri, Cheongsan-myeon; Geumam 2-ri, Dong-i-myeon; and Doduk 1-ri, Annam-myeon.

Okcheon County Mayor Hwang Gyu-cheol stated, "We anticipate that the three selected villages will become the focal points of regional development and revitalize the region. We will provide unwavering administrative support to ensure the successful implementation of the project." Yoo Jeong-yong, Director of the Okcheon County Agricultural Technology Center, offered words of encouragement, saying, "I hope that the villages that were unfortunately not selected will have another chance to make even greater strides next year."

Okcheon County plans to provide various support programs to the three selected villages to help them strengthen their resident-led, customized capabilities and build sustainable village communities.
