【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주시의회 도시농업 활성화 연구회는 8일 청주시 상당구 남일면 은행리에 위치한 청년 스마트 딸기농장 ‘라라팜’을 방문해 스마트팜 기반의 딸기 재배 현장을 견학했다.​

이번 견학은 청년농업인이 운영하는 스마트팜 사례를 통해 도시농업의 첨단화 방향과 청년 귀농·창농 모델을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다. 라라팜은 자동화 온실과 ICT 융합 환경제어 시스템을 바탕으로 온도·습도·양분·관수 등을 정밀하게 관리하며 딸기를 재배하고, 수확·포장·배송까지 연계한 생산·유통 일원화 체계를 운영하고 있는 청년농장이다.​

이날 연구회 의원들은 스마트폰으로 제어되는 온실 내부 시스템과 재배·수확 시설을 둘러보며 기후변화와 노동력 부족에 대응하는 스마트농업의 필요성을 공유했다. 또 청년농업인으로부터 스마트팜 초기 투자 부담, 판로 개척, 전문인력 양성 등 현장의 애로사항과 정책 지원 필요사항을 청취하며, 청주시가 추진 중인 ‘청주형 스마트팜 원예단지’와 연계한 청년농 정착 지원 방안에 대해 의견을 나눴다.​

박근영 대표의원은 “라라팜은 청년이 기술을 바탕으로 농업에 도전해 새로운 부가가치를 창출하는 좋은 사례”라며 “청주형 스마트팜 단지 조성과 연계해 청년농업인이 안정적으로 정착하고, 도시민이 체험할 수 있는 스마트 도시농업이 확산될 수 있도록 정책적 뒷받침을 강화하겠다”고 말했다.​
