이번 이벤트는 고향사랑기부제에 대한 관심을 높이는 한편, 기부자에게 감사의 뜻을 전하고 보은군과의 유대감을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 

12월 28일까지 고향사랑e음 또는 전국 농협을 통해 보은군에 10만 원 이상 기부하고 답례품을 신청한 참여자는 자동으로 이벤트에 응모된다. 추첨을 통해 100명에게 3만 원 상당 특별 답례품이 추가 증정되며, 12월 30일 이후 개별 연락으로 안내될 예정이다.

허길영 행정운영과장은 “한 해를 마무리하며 고향을 생각하는 마음이 모여 또 다른 따스함을 만들 수 있다”며 “보내주신 사랑만큼이나 보은군도 기부자분들께 따뜻함을 돌려드릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 고향사랑기부제는 개인이 주소지를 제외한 지자체에 기부할 수 있는 제도로, 연간 1인 최대 2,000만 원까지 기부가 가능하며 기부액 10만 원까지는 전액 세액공제, 10만 원 초과분은 16.5% 세액공제를 받을 수 있다. 또한 기부액의 30% 한도 내에서 지역 특산품을 답례품으로 제공받을 수 있어 연말정산 절세 효과와 지역경제 활성화에 도움이 되는 제도로 주목받고 있다.
