【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 오는 15일부터 ‘동서울~수안보 시외버스 노선’을 정상 운행한다고 밝혔다.

시는 지난 5월 비용 부담, 수요 불균형 등의 사유로 운행이 잠정 중단됐던 동서울~수안보 구간 정상화를 위해 치열한 노력을 기울여 왔다.

시의 적극적인 행정 역량 발휘와 함께 운수업체의 협력, 조성태 도의원의 지속적인 촉구와 협의, 충북도의 수안보 교통안전 쉼터 조성 지원 등 곳곳의 전폭적인 지원을 통해 정상화에 성공했다.

해당 노선은 주덕·신니·수안보 지역의 도심 의료기관 이용 및 수도권 관광객 방문에 있어 꼭 필요한 교통수단으로, 시민의 불편 해소는 물론 지역사회의 경기 부양을 위해서 꼭 필요한 자원으로 평가받아 왔다.
