【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 다음 달 1일부터 내년 3월까지 ‘제7차 미세먼지 계절관리제’를 시행한다고 밝혔다.

매년 12월부터 다음 해 3월은 대기 정체와 같은 기상 여건이 지속되는 시기로 초미세먼지 평균 농도가 나머지 기간에 비해 45% 정도 웃돌아 ‘미세먼지 계절관리제’ 기간으로 지정돼 관리되는 시기이다.

이에 따라 군은 미세먼지 고농도 발생의 강도와 빈도 완화를 위해 저감 대책을 시행한다.

계절관리제 주요 내용은 △배출가스 5등급 차량 운행 제한 △비산 먼지 발생 사업장 및 대기오염물질 배출 사업장 점검 △다중이용시설 실내 공기질 점검 △불법소각 단속 강화 등이다. 

배출가스 5등급 차량 운행 제한의 경우 계절관리제 시행 기간 동안 배출가스 5등급 차량은 주말 및 공휴일을 제외하고 매일 오전 6시부터 오후 9시까지 수도권과 6개 특·광역시에서 운행이 제한되며, 위반 시 10만 원의 과태료가 부과된다. 

음성군 관내 지역은 충북 지역에 비상저감조치가 발령될 경우에만 배출가스 5등급 차량의 운행 제한을 실시하며, 시행일의 오전 06시부터 오후 9시까지 단속을 하고 위반 시 10만 원의 과태료가 부과된다. 

다만, 배출가스 저감장치를 부착한 차량이나 장애인, 긴급차, 국가유공자 소유 차량은 단속 대상에서 제외한다.

군은 배출가스 5등급 차량에 대해 조기폐차 보조금 지원, 매연 저감장치 부착 지원사업 등을 추진하고 있으며, 2026년도 사업은 다음 해 2월 중 음성군 홈페이지를 통해 사업 공고를 할 예정이다.

노현숙 환경과장은 “최근 계속되는 기후 변화에 따라 대기질 개선과 시민 건강 보호를 위한 미세먼지 계절관리제 운행 제한에 적극 참여를 바란다”며 “5등급 차량 소유자들이 조기 폐차와 저감장치 부착 사업에도 조속히 참여하길 당부드린다”고 말했다.

In Eumseong County, Class 5 vehicle driving restrictions are only implemented when emergency reduction measures are issued in North Chungcheong Province. Violators will be subject to enforcement from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM on the day of enforcement, and a fine of 100,000 KRW will be imposed.

However, vehicles equipped with emission reduction devices, vehicles owned by persons with disabilities, emergency vehicles, or persons of national merit are exempt from the restrictions.
