【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 28일, 신임 감사관으로 엄진섭(만 55세, 사진) 한국방송통신대학교 재무과장을 선발했다고 밝혔다.

엄진섭 한국방송통신대학교 재무과장은 1991년 공직에 입문하여 교육부 감사관실 반부패청렴담당관실, 민원조사담당관실 등에서 근무하며 조직의  투명성, 공정정 확보에 기여해 왔다. 

또한, 한국체육대학교 총무과장, 교육부 교육자치협력안전국 교육시설안전팀장을 역임하며 다양한 행정 경험과 리더십을 두루 갖추었다.

신임 감사관의 임기는 2년으로, 2026년 1월 1일부터 근무하게 되며 충북교육청과 소속기관에 대한 감사업무 전반을 총괄하게 된다.

교육 현장의 특수성을 고려한 감사 시스템을 구축하고 사전 예방 중심의 감사 활동을 강화할 것으로 기대된다.

앞서 충북교육청은 임용기간 만료 예정인 개방형직위 감사관(지방부이사관 또는 3급 상당 일반임기제공무원)을 선발하기 위해 지난 9월 공개모집한 결과 16명이 응시하였으며, 서류전형과 면접시험, 인사위원회 심의를 거쳐 최종합격자를 결정했다.

도교육청 관계자는 “교육부 감사관실에서 오래 근무하여 조직의 운영, 법규 및 규정, 내부 통제 프로세스 전반에 대한 깊이 있는 이해와 전문성을 갖춘 유능한 인재를 선발하여 충북교육 발전에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.”라며, “신임 감사관의 풍부한 경험이 감사기구의 독립성 및 감사역량 강화에 기여하고, 나아가 교육행정의 투명성을 제고할 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.
