【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 28일 조길형 충주시장이 충주예성여자고등학교를 찾아 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 ‘자기주도적 진로 설계’를 주제로 진로 특강을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 특강은 대학수학능력시험을 마친 고3 학생들에게 앞으로의 진로 방향을 구체적인 세우는 데 실질적인 도움을 주기 위해 학교 초청으로 마련됐다.

조 시장은 오랜 행정 경험을 기반으로 ‘급변하는 사회 속에서 스스로 목표를 설정하고 끊임없이 학습하는 자세의 중요성’을 강조하며 젊은 인재들이 지역사회에 기여할 방안에 대해 심도 있는 이야기를 전달했다.

강연 후 이어진 질의응답 시간에는 학생들이 다양한 고민에 조 시장이 현실적인 조언을 건네며 공감대를 형성했다.

강연에 참석한 한 학생은 “시장님이 들려주는 생생한 충고들이 인상적이었다”며 “졸업 후 어떤 분야에 도전해야 할지 막막했는데 나만의 비전과 목표가 중요하다는 것을 깨달았다”고 말했다.
