이번 공모전은 전국 17개 시·도 및 263개 시·군·구가 참여했으며, 지역사회 절주문화 확산 및 음주폐해 예방·감소에 기여한 우수사례를 선정하기 위해 마련되었다.

옥천군보건소는 전국 최초로 금주구역 조례를 제정해 절주 환경 조성의 법적 근거를 마련한 점, 그리고 고위험음주율·월간음주율 감소를 목표로 한 다양한 사업 추진에서 높은 평가를 받았다. 특히 생애주기별 맞춤 절주 교육, 금주구역 및 금주 안내 시설 관리 등 지역 밀착형 절주 환경 조성 활동을 지속적으로 추진하며 실질적 성과를 창출했다.

박성희 보건소장은 “절주 문화 확산을 통해 건전한 음주문화를 정착시키고, 음주폐해 없는 옥천군을 만들기 위해 앞으로도 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

On the 27th, the Okcheon County Public Health Center won the National Grand Prize (Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation) in the Community Alcohol Harm Prevention Project Best Practice Contest, hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Promotion Institute.

This contest, with participation from 17 cities and provinces and 263 cities, counties, and districts nationwide, was designed to recognize best practices that contribute to promoting a culture of moderate drinking and preventing and reducing alcohol harm.

The Okcheon County Public Health Center was highly praised for establishing the legal basis for fostering a moderate drinking environment by enacting the first alcohol-free zone ordinance in the country, and for implementing various projects aimed at reducing high-risk drinking and monthly drinking rates. In particular, we have consistently pursued community-based efforts to foster a healthy drinking environment, including customized abstinence education tailored to each stage of life and the management of abstinence zones and information facilities, resulting in tangible results.
