【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 27일, 아산 모나밸리에서 열린 2025년 하반기 충청권 교육감 정책협의회에 참석해 충청권 미래교육의 방향과 협력과제를 논의했다. 

협의회는 충청남도교육청 주최로 <격차를 넘어, 지속 가능한 미래교육>을 주제로 공동사업 추진 결과와 내년 정책협의회 운영 방안을 논의했다.

충청권 교육감들은 공동사업 성과를 점검하고, 교육격차 해소와 미래교육 추진을 위한 협력 방안을 논의하고, 충남교육청의 <온독지수 활용 수업 사례 나눔 한마당>에 참석해 학생 성장 사례와 교사 수업 사례를 살펴보며 교육 교류의 의미를 강조했다.

윤건영 교육감은 이번 협의회에서 학생들의 우울‧불안‧자해 위험이 폭발적으로 늘고 있다며, 충청권 차원의 강력한 공동 대응을 촉구했다. 

이런 문제는 단일 시‧도로 해결하기 어려운 문제라며 충청권 학생 정신건강 종합지원 체계 구축을 제안하고, ▲공동 실태조사 ▲위기학생 맞춤형 지원 모델 개발 ▲전문기관‧의료시설 초광역 협력망 ▲교원․전문상담교사 공동 연수 등 실질적 대책을 제시했다.

이어, 충청권의 신속한 결단을 통해 학생 안전망을 더욱 두텁게 할 것을 강조했다.

이번 제안은 윤건영 교육감이 정책협의회 회장으로 취임한 이후 지속적으로 추진해 온 현장 기반 협의회 기조의 연속선상으로 충청권 청소년 환경교육 정책제안 포럼(2024), 고교학점제 운영에 따른 교육격차 해소 정책토론회(2025) 등을 열어 학생과 교사를 비롯한 현장의 의견을 직접 듣는 정책협의 문화를 확대하며, 충청권 정책협의회가 현장의 목소리가 반영되는 정책 논의의 장으로 자리 잡는 데 기여했다.

At the council, Superintendent Yoon Kun-young emphasized the explosive increase in student depression, anxiety, and self-harm risks, urging a strong, coordinated response across the Chungcheong region.

They argued that these issues are difficult to resolve within a single city or province, and proposed the establishment of a comprehensive mental health support system for students in the Chungcheong region. They proposed practical measures, including a joint survey, the development of a customized support model for at-risk students, a wide-area network of specialized organizations and medical facilities, and joint training for teachers and professional counselors.

They further emphasized the need for the Chungcheong region to make swift decisions to further strengthen the student safety net.

This proposal, a continuation of the policy-based approach of the Chungcheong region, has been consistently pursued since Superintendent Yoon Kun-young took office as Chair of the Policy Council. This proposal will expand the culture of policy consultation by directly hearing opinions from students, teachers, and other stakeholders. This will contribute to establishing the Chungcheong Policy Council as a forum for policy discussion that reflects the voices of those on the ground.
