【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군보건소는 이달 10일부터 28일까지 3주간 음성군 소재 공중이용시설 금연구역 점검 및 금연구역 내 흡연자 단속을 강화한다고 밝혔다. 

지역 주민의 건강증진과 간접흡연 피해 예방을 위해 계획된 하반기 집중 지도단속 점검 대상은 총 5천718개소이다. 국민건강증진법으로 지정된 금연구역은 5천169개소, 음성군 간접흡연 피해방지에 관한 조례로 지정된 금연구역은 549개소다.

이번 단속은 국민건강증진법 제9조에 따라 지정된 금연구역 내 흡연 행위를 근절하고, 군민의 간접흡연 피해를 예방하기 위해 금연 구역 홍보와 계도를 중점으로 하되 위반 사항이 확인되면 과태료를 부과할 예정이다. 

군 보건소는 음성교육지원청, 충북금연지원센터 등 다양한 유관기관과 협력해 △금연구역임을 알리는 표지판 또는 스티커 부착 여부 △금연구역 시설 내 흡연실 설치 기준 준수 여부 △금연구역 내 흡연행위(전자담배 등 신종담배 포함) 등 금연구역 관리 실태 등을 집중 점검할 계획이다.

또한 이동금연클리닉 운영, 금연상담 및 니코틴보조제 지원 등 금연지원서비스도 지속적으로 제공하는 등 흡연자의 자발적인 금연 참여를 유도하고 있다.

구미숙 보건소장은 “이번 합동 지도점검을 통해 군민 모두가 쾌적하고 건강한 금연 환경을 누리고, 간접흡연으로부터 자유로운 군 실현을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
