이번에 지원되는 고온 스트레스 완화제는 고온환경에서 가축의 체온상승을 억제하고, 사료섭취 저하 및 생산성 감소를 방지하는데 효과적인 제품으로 읍면 행정복지센터 및 각 축종별 협회를 통해 농가에 배부한다.

또한, 군에서는 가축 폭염피해 최소화를 위해 133농가에게 축사지붕열차단 도포재 사업, 가금류 기후변화 대응시설 설치사업, 폭염기 가축피해 예방사업 등 다각적 노력을 기울이고 있다.

군 관계자는 “가축의 고온 스트레스는 생산성 저하뿐 아니라 폐사로 피해가 이어지는 만큼 이번 지원이 농가 경영안정에 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바라고, 앞으로도 지속적인 폭염 대응 체계를 유지하겠다”고 전했다.
