  제일 기대를 모으는 것은 (구)전통시장 이전부지를 활용해 조성하는 문화예술회관, 복합커뮤니티센터 및 도시재생어울림센터다.

  풍성한 문화 프로그램 제공은 물론 지역민들이 소통하고 대도시의 체험, 교육, 육아 서비스를 가까이서 이용할 수 있다는 점에서 많은 주민의 기대를 모으고 있다.

  사업지 위치는 진천읍 읍내리 120-12번지 일원이며 9,068㎡ 부지에 약 651억원의 예산을 투입 중이다.

  이중 문화예술회관은 사업비 약 415억 원을 투입해 전체면적 7,824㎡ 규모, 지하 1층~지상 3층으로 지어진다.

  내부는 공연장(중공연장, 소공연장)과 전시실, 연습실 등으로 채워지며 현재 공정율 53%로 2026년 1월 준공 예정이다.

  복합커뮤니티센터 및 도시재생어울림센터는 사업비 약 236억원이 들어가며 전체면적 8,438㎡, 지하 1층~지상 4층 공간에 여성회관, 가족센터, 통합돌봄거점센터 등이 마련된다.

  내부는 △공유평생학습관 △KAIST 인공지능 교육센터 △다함께돌봄센터 △공동육아나눔터 △정보화 교육장 △공연장(365석) △전시실 등을 갖췄으며, 지상·지하 주차면도 194면을 확보했다.

  특히 공유평생학습관은 진천군과 음성군이 전국 최초로 추진한 평생학습 협력사업으로, 지역 간 평생학습 협업의 모범사례로 주목받고 있다.

  이와 함께 어린이 특화공간 마련을 위해 추진한 지상 2층, 전체면적 2,642㎡의 ‘충북혁신도시 꿈자람터’도 곧 모습을 드러낼 예정이다.
