【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군농업기술센터(소장 김덕태)는 3일 고추연구회 회원을 대상으로 극한 폭염 대비 온열질환 예방 기술시범 시연회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 시연회는 농촌진흥청에서 개발한 에어냉각조끼와 온열지수 측정기 등 폭염 대응 농작업 안전장비의 현장 적용 효과를 확인하고, 농업인 건강 보호를 위한 기술 보급을 확대하기 위해 마련됐다.

특히 주목받은 에어냉각조끼는 보텍스 튜브와 에어라인이 부착된 장비로, 에어콤프레셔의 압축공기를 냉기로 전환해 조끼 내부로 공급, 작업 중 농업인의 체온을 효과적으로 낮춰주는 시스템이다. 

실제 착용 시 체감 온도를 낮추는 데 큰 효과가 있는 것으로 나타나, 폭염 속 농작업 환경 개선에 획기적인 대안으로 주목받고 있다.

또한 이날 현장에서는 온열질환 예방을 위한 안전 수칙과 대응 교육도 함께 진행해 농업인의 안전의식을 높이는 계기를 마련했다.

농업기술센터 관계자는 “최근 기후변화로 폭염이 빈번해지면서 농업 현장의 안전이 위협받고 있다”며 “앞으로도 농작업 안전을 위한 실효성 있는 기술 보급과 현장 중심의 대응 체계 강화에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Zengpyeong-gun Agricultural Technology Center (Director Kim Deok-tae) announced on the 3rd that it held a technology demonstration to prevent heat-related illnesses in preparation for extreme heat waves for members of the Red Pepper Research Association.
