2일 군에 따르면, 이 군수는 취임 4주년을 맞은 지난 1일 증평의 주요 사업 현장을 차례로 방문해 사업 추진 상황을 꼼꼼히 점검하고, 현장의 목소리에 귀를 기울이는 밀착행정을 펼쳤다.

첫 방문지는 오랜 기간 방치돼 도시 경관을 해치던 윤모아파트 재정비 사업 현장으로 이 군수는 해당 사업이 도심 미관 개선과 함께 도안면 일대의 새로운 정주 여건 조성에 마중물이 될 것이라며 추진 상황을 직접 살폈다.

이어 민선 6기 핵심 공약인 △휴먼시아 돌봄나눔터 △노인복지모델 시범마을 등을 잇따라 방문해, 돌봄·복지 분야의 현장 운영 상황을 점검하고 애로사항을 청취했다.
